Reference: AF-01
Duration: 4 Day(s)

Description

Large corporations and government agencies comprise multiple enterprises, and hence there may well be separate enterprise architecture projects. However, there is often much in common about the information systems in each enterprise, and there is usually great potential for gain in the use of a common architecture framework. For example, a common framework can provide a basis for the development of an architecture repository for the integration and re-use of models, designs, and baseline data.

TOGAF was developed by members of the Open Group and provides an Architecture Framework comprising a detailed method and a set of supporting tools for developing an enterprise architecture. TOGAF enables you to design, evaluate, and build the right architecture for your organisation. The key to TOGAF is the Architecture Development Method (ADM) - a reliable, proven method for developing an IT enterprise architecture that meets the needs of your business

This course provides sufficient information about TOGAF 8 to enable IT architects to use it effectively in their IT architecture work and senior managers with sufficient information to enable them to exploit TOGAF 8 effectively within their organisation. It is also recommended to architecture tools designers to enable them to integrate effective support for TOGAF 8 into their tools.
